La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday evening at long last made official the club’s latest signing on the transfer front.
The player to have put pen to paper on contract terms in Catalunya’s capital? Marcus Rashford.
Frontman Rashford’s impending Barcelona switch had of course emerged as football’s worst-kept secret over the last couple of days.
This came after Deco and co. were widely confirmed to have worked out the terms of a one-year loan deal with their counterparts at Manchester United.
Rashford, for his part, had since gone on to link up with his new teammates in pre-season training at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, ahead of joining Hansi Flick’s squad on their flight to Asia on Thursday.
And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, his status as a new Barcelona player, at last, has been confirmed.
As per a statement across the Blaugrana’s website and social media platforms:
‘FC Barcelona and Manchester United have reached an agreement for the loan of the player Marcus Rashford until 30 June 2026. The agreement also establishes an option to buy the English forward.’
