Official: Barcelona announce injury boost for Celta Vigo showdown

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday announced some welcome positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Andreas Christensen has been cleared to play his part in the club’s upcoming meeting with Celta Vigo.

Stopper Christensen has spent the last couple of weeks on the sidelines, owing to a calf injury.

After linking back up with his teammates at the Ciutat Esportiva over recent days, though, Barcelona have confirmed:

‘Christensen has been discharged from medical care and enters the squad for Celta vs Barca.’

Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana are of course primed to return to action later this evening.

Turning focus back towards matters on the domestic front, the reigning Spanish champions have made the trip to Balaídos, for a La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo.

Barcelona head into the matchup eyeing a bounce back result, following a disappointing 3-3 draw with Club Brugge in the Champions League in midweek.
