La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday made official an injury setback in the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation that Dani Olmo is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Midfielder Olmo was of course forced into a premature departure from Spanish national team duty over the weekend, returning to base in Catalunya’s capital ahead of time.
This came after the former RB Leipzig man was confirmed to have suffered a muscular issue in training.
Olmo, in turn, was put through a round of medical tests and scans back at the Ciutat Esportiva over the last 24 hours.
And as alluded to above, on Monday, the results of as much have been revealed.
As per a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms:
‘Dani Olmo has injured the soleus in his left leg, with no damage to connective tissue. His recovery time will depend on how the injury evolves.’
