The winner of the Player of the Month prize at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid has on Thursday been announced.
The member of Diego Simeone’s squad to have scooped the accolade? The tactician’s son, Giuliano.
Attacker Simeone is for his part in the midst of a fine stretch of individual form at present.
Now considered one of the first names on the team sheet in Spain’s capital, the 22-year-old featured from the off in all but one of Atlético’s four fixtures in all competitions in October.
Not only that, but in his one appearance off the bench, Simeone laid on the only goal of a hard-fought victory over Osasuna.
As much was followed by a goal of his own in a starring performance against Real Betis last weekend.
And as alluded to above, this week, such exploits have been aptly recognised by those of a Rojiblancos persuasion.
As announced across social media, Simeone has been named Atlético Madrid Player of the Month for October.
