Atlético Madrid have announced the signing of midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia from Valencia until 2024.
The 27-year-old joins Los Colchoneros for a reported fee of €15m. The transfer was permitted due to the last-minute departure of Atlético midfielder Thomas Partey to Arsenal.
The two Primera clubs had been negotiating for the last two weeks and Valencia finally accepted an offer for Kondogbia, who made it very clear he wanted out. The player said goodbye to his teammates on Saturday and left for Madrid, where on Sunday he underwent a medical.
