La Liga outfit Athletic Club have on Tuesday announced an agreement for the appointment of the club’s next head coach.

The subject of the bench at San Mamés has of course long proven a prominent one in the Spanish football headlines.
This comes after Athletic announced their decision to part ways with long-time boss Ernesto Valverde upon the season’s close.
A whole host of managers were in turn tipped to replace the Spaniard for the 2026/27 campaign.
Long standing out above all others, though, was the aforementioned Edin Terzić, out of work since departing Borussia Dortmund back in 2024.
On Tuesday, it has therefore come as little surprise to hear of Terzić’s appointment in Bilbao being made official.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Athletic Club:
‘Edin Terzić has agreed to become head coach of Athletic Club’s men’s first team for the next two seasons, signing a contract until 30 June 2028.’
