La Liga champions Barcelona’s Spanish contingent have over the course of Friday been joined by a further quartet of teammates in securing international call-ups.
First, beginning at the back, comes Andreas Christensen. Stopper Christensen has of course spent recent weeks on the sidelines with a calf injury, but is evidently considered well enough to play his part for Denmark over the coming weeks.
Moving into midfield, Frenkie de Jong is as expected given the nod to link up with his Dutch teammates this month.
Finally, in the attacking third, Barcelona are represented by a pair of wingers.
Marcus Rashford has been rewarded for his ongoing excellence since linking up with the Blaugrana with a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.
And fellow summer arrival Roony Bardghji, despite his limited playing time in Catalunya’s capital, has also done enough to clinch a 2nd successive call-up to the Swedish senior squad.
