Official: 4 return as Real Madrid name squad to face Barcelona

La Liga leaders Real Madrid have unveiled the squad of players set to be tasked with getting the better of arch rivals Barcelona on Sunday.

And it features a quartet of returning stars.

After respective recent spells on the sidelines through injury, all of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dani Carvajal, Dean Huijsen and Dani Ceballos are back and at the disposal of Xabi Alonso.

The season’s first edition of El Clásico is of course primed to play out in a little over 24 hours’ time.

The aforementioned Real will act as hosts, in welcoming reigning champions Barcelona to the Santiago Bernabéu for a La Liga clash.

The fixture marks a crucial one in the early running for Spanish football supremacy, with the country’s two biggest clubs currently separated by just two points atop the table.

As things stand, it is Xabi Alonso’s Blancos who boast the advantage, ahead of Barca in 2nd.
