The squad of players called upon by Hansi Flick for Barcelona’s fast-approaching showdown with Paris Saint-Germain has been unveiled online.
And it features a trio of notable absentees, as well as one important inclusion, all at the back.
Barcelona are of course primed to turn their focus back towards matters on the continent on Tuesday night, when they make the trip to France’s capital for a Champions League meeting with reigning tournament holders PSG.
The Blaugrana head into the matchup in the midst of a sparkling run of form, giving rise to 11 wins from 11 to open the campaign.
Their most recent three-point haul came over the weekend, when Barca put Real Betis to the sword by five goals to two. Along the way, though, Hansi Flick and co. were forced to deal with a trio of fitness setbacks.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at La Cartuja, all of Gerard Martín, Eric García and Jules Koundé suffered problems on the injury front.
The latter pair, alongside long-term absentee Andreas Christensen, have therefore been left out of Barca’s travelling party bound for Paris.
Gerard Martín, though, has crucially been included, amid hopes of the Spaniard recovering in time to feature from the off at the Parc des Princes.
