Barcelona star Raphinha beat out stiff competition to secure the Man of the Match award in the club’s latest outing.
This comes after the Brazilian conjured up a trademark showing in his return to starting duties in Hansi Flick’s squad.
Barcelona of course marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Deportivo Alavés to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged on the right side of a 3-1 result, to leapfrog Real Madrid into top spot in the Spanish top-flight table.
Along the way, a number of players shone bright for the hosts, with Dani Olmo having notched a brace, and Lamine Yamal a goal and an assist.
But as alluded to above, it was Raphinha who ultimately went on to lift the Man of the Match trophy.
The Brazilian, in his first start for two months, created both of Barcelona’s first-half goals, courtesy of trademark bursts and pull-backs down the left wing.
Added to his contagious energy and relentless pressing, this proved enough to see Raphinha named the evening’s ‘MVP’:
