La Liga giants Real Madrid have early this week been tipped to launch a move for a headline member of the attacking ranks at capital rivals Atlético Madrid.
This comes amid claims of Julián Alvarez being Los Blancos’ much-discussed mystery summer transfer target.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez of course set tongues wagging across world football last week, upon announcing his intention to launch a €150 million swoop for an unnamed big-name player.
Ensuing reports were quick to point towards Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as the subject of the Spanish patron’s interest.
As alluded to above, though, early this week, a new name has been floated as Pérez’s mystery man…
As per a report from Sky Germany journalist Patrick Berger, amongst a host of other sources:
‘Is Julian Alvarez the €150m player Florentino Perez wants to bring to Real Madrid? Real Madrid are understood to have made enquiries about the Argentinian striker and rate him very highly.’
Any such move would of course spark frustration at Los Merengues’ arch rivals Barcelona, with the Blaugrana also eyeing a deal for Alvarez this summer.
