A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid admitted that he was in a rush to return home after the club’s meeting with Manchester City.
The player in question? Rodrygo.
Wide-man Rodrygo of course played a leading role on Wednesday night, as Real Madrid booked their spot in the Last-16 of the Champions League at the expense of Manchester City.
The Brazilian featured from the off in the clash, and chipped in with an assist, amid what was a fine all-round display.
As alluded to above, though, on the back of the full-time whistle in Spain’s capital, Rodrygo was in no mood to hang around and celebrate.
Post-match, the 24-year-old was pulled in for an interview with a group of reporters.
And Rodrygo went on to reveal that he was in a rush to get home, to watch idol and fellow countryman Neymar in action with Santos:
“I need to get home fast now… as Neymar and Santos are playing tonight!”
