A newly-signed member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was spotted on corner duty during training on Saturday.
The player in question? Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Full-back Alexander-Arnold was of course at last unveiled as the latest addition to Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid squad earlier this week.
After being announced as a Blancos player at the end of last month, the England international went on to link up with his new club on Thursday morning.
Alexander-Arnold, in turn, has since joined the rest of new boss Alonso’s squad in training at Valdebebas.
And as alluded to above, amid ongoing preparations for the upcoming Club World Cup, the 26-year-old was on Saturday spotted taking responsibility of an altogether important aspect of Real Madrid’s game.
Long hailed for his elite crossing and set-piece abilities, Alexander-Arnold was entrusted with corner kick duties during a training drill, at one point culminating in Aurélien Tchouaméni finding the net with a fine header:
