Newly-signed Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen has issued a response to a message of encouragement sent his way by club legend Sergio Ramos.
The name of youngster Huijsen has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the 20-year-old was announced as a much-needed addition to the defensive ranks at the Santiago Bernabéu.
After ramping up negotiations with their Bournemouth counterparts this week, Real Madrid announced Huijsen’s signing by way of an official statement on Saturday morning.
This announcement was quickly followed by Huijsen being contacted by one of the greatest players in Real’s storied history, in the form of the aforementioned Sergio Ramos.
Taking to his official Instagram account, defensive icon Ramos wrote:
‘All the best, brother. Go for it!’
And as alluded to above, Huijsen has since issued a response, too.
Having repeatedly made clear his admiration for Sergio Ramos over the early years of his fledgling career, the youngster replied simply with:
‘Idol’
