An old social media post on the part of recently-appointed Real Madrid head coach Álvaro Arbeloa has garnered widespread attention online this week.
This comes after the Spaniard made clear his massive appreciation for the talents of one of the headline members of his new squad.
The player in question? Kylian Mbappé.
Arbeloa is for his part of course off being named as Xabi Alonso’s successor on the touchline in Spain’s capital.
As much means that the former defender will now have the opportunity to manage some of world football’s standout talent.
And one Blancos star whom he will no doubt be particularly keen to take charge of is the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé.
In a post on his official ‘X’ account all the way back in 2018, Arbeloa wrote:
‘Mbappé is like a young Luke Skywalker. You know that sooner or later, he’ll rule the world. He’s a beast!’
