La Liga giants Real Madrid have unveiled their starting XI to face Elche on Sunday evening.
And the line-up appears to confirm that boss Xabi Alonso has opted for a change of formation for the matchup.
Five defenders feature in Real Madrid’s team for the night, in the form of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, Raúl Asencio, Álvaro Carreras, and Fran García.
The expectation is therefore that Carreras is set to slot into a centre-back role, alongside Huijsen and Asencio.
This will allow for Alexander-Arnold and Fran to take their place out wide, as wing-backs.
Elsewhere, Dani Ceballos steps in for a rare start in the middle of the park, alongside Jude Bellingham and Arda Güler.
There is no place for Vinícius Jr, though, with Kylian Mbappé joined in the final third by Rodrygo, searching for his first goal in almost 30 appearances at club level.
