An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was on Tuesday spotted in first-team training alongside Hansi Flick’s star-studded squad.
The player in question? Brian Fariñas.
Fariñas, for his part, is a 20-year-old midfielder, capable of lining out in a number of roles in the middle of the park.
He has been on the books of Barcelona since all the way back in the 2018/19 campaign.
Across the season to date, the young Spaniard has continued to build on his reputation as a potential future star in the making, with two goals and five assists to his name across 22 league appearances.
And as alluded to above, this week, such ongoing excellence has been rewarded.
This comes amid confirmation that, two days out from Barcelona’s Copa del Rey semi-final first-leg meeting with Atlético Madrid, Fariñas has been called up to senior training by Hansi Flick:
