A member of the summer recruitment list at La Liga giants Barcelona is expected to be afforded his first minutes in the club’s colours on Sunday.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Marcus Rashford as the player in question.
Frontman Rashford is of course fresh off sealing a Camp Nou switch earlier this week.
Following months of rampant speculation, the Englishman put pen to paper on loan terms with Hansi Flick’s Barcelona for the 2025/26 campaign.
The Spanish champions will have the option to make Rashford’s signing a permanent one in 12 months’ time, for a fee in the region of €30 million.
And as alluded to above, later today, the 27-year-old will be afforded his first chance to impress the Blaugrana coaching staff in a competitive setting.
Flick and co. are of course primed to kick their pre-season fixture list into gear on Sunday, in a meeting with Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe.
And according to Sport, having arrrived in Spain in impressive physical shape, Rashford is expected to be afforded his Barcelona debut in the fixture.
