New Barcelona signing Jesse Bisiwu this weekend opened up on the subject of his favourite current member of Hansi Flick’s star-studded squad.
Winger Bisiwu is of course fresh off putting pen to paper on terms in Catalunya’s capital. Following weeks of rampant speculation, the Belgian’s Barcelona switch was in turn made official by the Spanish champions on Friday evening.
Still just 18, Bisiwu will now set about catching the eye of the aforementioned Flick and his staff, in the hopes of carving out first-team minutes for himself this coming season.
The current starter in the Blaugrana’s first-team XI in Bisiwu’s position is Raphinha, fresh off another productive campaign all told in 2025/26.
And the Brazilian, it would appear, is a player whom the Catalans’ latest addition is a huge admirer of.
Speaking during an exchange with the media fresh off his Barca switch being confirmed, Bisiwu was asked if he has a favourite player in Hansi Flick’s ranks.
And the teenage talent went on to explain:
“Well, of course, in my position I’d say Raphinha. He’s a very good player and someone I look up to as well, and I have already talked to him a few times since joining yesterday.”
