Memphis Depay trains with Atlético Madrid

Today’s Atlético Madrid training session had a new face, that of Dutch international Memphis Depay.

While the transfer isn’t officially completed, there are only a few details left, and the Dutch star has permission from his parent club to train with Los Colchoneros.

As reported by Diario AS, in all likelihood we will see Memphis available to play in Saturday’s game against Real Valladolid. While it’s improbable that the new striker would have a spot in the starting XI, we could see him playing for Atleti for the first time.

During the session, Memphis looked cheerful and happy, more than ready to adapt to his potential new team, reported AS.

The session will have brought the ex-Blaugrana in contact with new team-mates, particularly the ones who were substitutes in the Copa del Rey clash against Levante such as Thomas Lemar, Koke, Ángel Correa, Axel Witsel, and Saúl.

The players who were in the starting lineup had an indoor session in the gym.
