Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has moved to reveal his appreciation for the performance produced by Trent Alexander-Arnold in the club’s latest outing.
This comes after the Englishman responded to a rare opportunity to showcase his talents in impressive fashion.
Real Madrid were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to Santander for a La Liga meeting with newly-promoted Racing.
When all was said and done, Los Blancos kept alive what has been an impressive recent stretch of form, courtesy of a 3-0 triumph.
The aforementioned Alexander-Arnold featured from the off at the Estadio El Sardinero, slotting back in at right-back amid the absence of Federico Valverde.
And whilst it was the likes of Jude Bellingham and Yan Diomandé who ultimately stole the show, post-match, José Mourinho was keen to heap praise on his seldom-seen full-back:
“Trent was really good today. He didn’t play in a while and he comes out and drops a masterclass, that’s what happens when a team is confident and trusting each other.”
