Marcus Rashford responds to Barcelona’s victory over Alavés

Barcelona star Marcus Rashford has taken to social media to provide his response to the club’s triumph over Deportivo Alavés.

This comes after the Englishman was again forced to watch on from the bench.

Barcelona were back in action earlier this evening, welcoming Alavés to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged 3-1 victors, to leapfrog arch rivals Real Madrid atop the Spanish top-flight table.

Wide-man Rashford was for his part left out of Hansi Flick’s starting XI for the third game in succession, after his illness-enforced absence against Athletic Club last weekend was followed by a substitute role at Chelsea in midweek.

The 28-year-old was ultimately introduced to the fray at half-time, though, and evidently remains in good spirits.

As much was made clear through Rashford’s post-match social media activity, with the on-loan Manchester United man having taken to Instagram to write:

‘First time playing at Spotify Camp Nou as a blaugrana. Special night for me!’
