Barcelona star Marcus Rashford has taken to social media, to speak publicly for the first time regarding his side’s defeat at the hands of arch rivals Real Madrid.
The Englishman for his part featured from the off in the first Clásico of the campaign, on Sunday.
When all was said and done, however, Rashford and co. found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 result.
On Monday, the on-loan Manchester United man, in turn, has taken to his official Instagram account to unveil the following post:
‘Clearly, not the result that we wanted yesterday. It’s a marathon, not a sprint and we will keep fighting!’
Despite his side’s eventual defeat, Rashford for his part kept alive an altogether productive spell of individual form in Madrid.
With Barcelona trailing by a goal to nil in the first-half, the 27-year-old laid on a fine assist for Fermín López to slot home the Blaugrana’s only goal of the evening.
He has, in turn, hit the double digit mark for direct goal contributions in Barca colours.
