Speaking after Atlético Madrid’s 2-1 home win over Athletic Club on Wednesday, Marcos Llorente revealed how many goals he was targeting at the start of the 2020/21 campaign.
“At the beginning of the season, I wanted to score 10 goals across all competitions, and I’ve already achieved that feat. I’m not giving myself any more goals, I just want to help the team.”
Llorente has notched nine goals in LaLiga so far this season, helping Atlético move six points clear of second placed Barcelona after last night’s victory.
The 26-year-old has also got one Champions League goal to his name, taking his tally to 10 for the season.
