Marcão arrived to Sevilla last summer from Galatasaray, but he only made his debut for the club this October due to injuries.
In an interview with Sevilla FC Television that appeared on Marca, the Brazilian defender revealed that he is keen to get as many minutes as possible:
“I want to play and help the team. We are not going through the best of times, we lost some important players. I want to play on Saturday and I think I will play.”
Los Nervionenses will face Real Madrid on the weekend:
“We know it will be a very difficult match but we are prepared for big challenges. I want to be on the field to help my teammates.”
Marcão felt pressure to perform following his arrival to the club:
“For me it was very difficult because I arrived at a club that paid a lot of money for me. I felt that pressure, I wanted to play and show people who Marcão is.”
