A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid is attracting strong transfer interest by way of the Premier League.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing market insider Ben Jacobs, who points towards Conor Gallagher as the player in question.
Midfielder Gallagher is for his part in the midst of what has been a challening opening to the new campaign.
Across Atlético’s 12 outings in all competitions, the Englishman has been afforded starts in just four.
Ahead of next year’s World Cup, Gallagher has in turn been tipped to seek out a winter exit, in search of more consistent playing time.
And as alluded to above, in the case of as much, the former Chelsea man looks unlikely to be short on suitors.
As per a report from MD, citing the aforementioned Ben Jacobs during an appearance on The United Stand, Manchester United have a ‘genuine interest’ in bringing Gallagher to Old Trafford.
After coming up short with a swoop for the 25-year-old over the summer, the Red Devils are ready to return to the table with a fresh approach for Gallagher following the turn of the year.
