Manchester City star Rodri has turned heads across the world of football this week.
This comes after the Spanish international dropped a less-than-subtle hint at his interest in taking to the pitch in the colours of Real Madrid.
Midfielder Rodri is for his part fresh off reminding fans across the globe of his elite talents this past weekend.
Amid ongoing efforts to recover his best after a long-term spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury, the 29-year-old dominated the middle of the park en route to Man City putting Arsenal to the sword in the English League Cup final.
Safe to say, then, that all of a Real Madrid persuasion will no doubt have had their heads turned by Rodri’s latest comments regarding his future.
During an interview with Onda Cero whilst on international duty with Spain this week, the former Ballon d’Or winner was drawn on the possibility of taking his talents to the Santiago Bernabéu.
And Rodri was surprisingly forthcoming in his response, admitting:
“The fact that I played for Atlético Madrid does not stop me from playing for Real Madrid. You cannot refuse the best clubs in the world.”
