La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca have late this week tied up an agreement to add to their defensive ranks for the season ahead.
That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Marash Kumbulla as the player primed to take his talents to Son Moix.
Stopper Kumbulla for his part spent the 2024/25 campaign plying his trade in Spain’s top-flight.
Deemed surplus to requirements in the Italian capital, the Albanian international went on to link up with Espanyol on loan for the duration of the term.
And Kumbulla played a leading role for the Catalans, notching 35 league appearances to help maintain the club’s top-flight status.
Such exploits did not go unnoticed elsewhere in La Liga, with a whole host of clubs understood to have been left impressed by the 25-year-old’s form.
And as alluded to above, this week, one such outfit have tied up a deal to bring Kumbulla back to Spain.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Mallorca agree deal to sign Marash Kumbulla from AS Roma. Deal done on loan with €8m buy option clause, player authorized to travel as Mallorca sources confirm medical booked.’
