La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca are close to tying up a deal to add to the club’s options between the posts for next season.
That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who has confirmed that Lucas Bergström is on the verge of taking his talents to Son Moix.
Bergström, for his part, is a 22-year-old goalkeeper, who spent the last seven years on the books of Premier League heavyweights Chelsea.
A pair of loan spells away from west London over the last two seasons, however, failed to convince those in a position of power at Stamford Bridge of Bergström’s talents.
The decision was therefore made for the Finland international not to be offered an extension to his expiring contract terms this summer.
As alluded to above, though, Bergström does not look set to be without a club for long.
As per a report from journalist Matteo Moretto:
‘Mallorca are close to signing Lucas Bergström. The Finnish goalkeeper arrives as a free agent.’
