The brass at RCD Mallorca are considering a transfer swoop for another player at La Liga rivals Barcelona.
That’s according to Barca insider Gerard Romero, who points towards Jan Virgili as the player in question.
The name of winger Virgili has emerged as an altogether prominent one in the media chatter across Spain over recent weeks.
This comes after the 18-year-old played a starring role for La Roja, en route to booking their spot in the finale of the U19 European Championships.
Such excellence since gave rise to a place in Barcelona’s first-team setup for pre-season training last week, too.
And as alluded to above, such impressive exploits on Virgili’s part have not gone unnoticed behind the scenes at another of La Liga’s clubs.
As per a report from journalist Gerard Romero, after already landing Pablo Torre from Barca this summer, Mallorca are eyeing a deal for Virgili, too.
A number of clubs from the Spanish 2nd division are also understood to be sniffing around the signature of the youngster.
