Luis Suárez will join Atlético Madrid from Barcelona, according to highly-respected Barcelona based journalist Alfredo Martinez.
The Uruguayan striker has agreed personal terms with Los Colchoneros. Head coach Diego Simeone has been reportedly instrumental in getting the deal across the line.
Earlier on Monday morning, Catalan outlet RAC1 reported that he will officially part ways with Barcelona, rescinding his contract that was supposed to run until 2021. He is expected to sign a two-year deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Alvaro Morata’s move to Juventus will facilitate the way for Suárez to join, on what will reportedly be a nine million euro deal per year.
