Former Real Madrid winger Luís Figo has on Tuesday forwarded a public message to Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé.
This, of course, comes ahead of the latter’s imminent arrival in Spain’s capital.
Amid a lengthy saga spanning a full two years now, the end finally appears to be in sight when it comes to frontman Mbappé’s Real Madrid transfer.
After informing the powers that be at the aforementioned PSG that he would not be putting pen to paper on fresh terms ahead of the expiration of his contract with the club this summer, the 25-year-old has since been locked in negotiations with the Santiago Bernabéu brass.
And though the process is proving a slow one, the widespread understanding is that an agreement being reached between the parties is a matter of ‘when’, not ‘if’.
Speaking in an interview with Madrid-based outlet Marca earlier today, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Mbappé’s impending arrival in Spain was put to club legend, Luís Figo.
Asked specifically whether he has any advice for the France international when it comes to the move, Figo preached one simple message – seek happiness:
“Be happy, that is the most important thing in life. I looked for my happiness and I was lucky enough to come to Real Madrid and stay for five years.”
