Luis Enrique travels to London for talks with Chelsea

Journalist Gerard Romero reported early on Wednesday that Luis Enrique was travelling to London for talks with Chelsea.

The former Spain boss was accompanied by Iván de la Peña, a personal friend of the coach, and the man in charge of the operation.

Following Graham Potter’s sacking on Sunday, Luis Enrique emerged as one of the leading candidates to succeed him, alongside former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nageslsmann.

Marca report that Luis Enrique will listen to the Premier League club and Chelsea owner Todd Boehly before deciding on his future.

Chelsea played out a 0-0 with Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday night with fellow Spaniard Bruno Saltor in charge as interim coach and are now preparing for their Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid in the Spanish capital next Wednesday.

Chelsea are currently 11th in the Premier League with 39 points and are 11 points off the European places.
