Luis Enrique responds after Kylian Mbappé’s frustrated response to latest PSG substitution

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has spoken out, amid fresh concern surrounding the mindset of star man Kylian Mbappé.

As much comes on the back of PSG’s latest outing on Sunday night.

On their way to an eventual 2-0 downing of arch rivals Olympique Marseille in Le Classique, frontman Mbappé was hauled off with just over an hour on the clock.

And, safe to say, the 25-year-old was left looking less than impressed by the decision, upon seeing his number flash across the 4th official’s board:

This is not the first time that Mbappé has let his disappointment be known upon being substituted of late, with the same subject having grabbed the headlines on a number of occasions in Paris over recent weeks.

This, of course, comes with the frontman primed to bid PSG farewell this summer, to link up with La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side taking another significant step towards the Ligue 1 title, Luis Enrique, in turn, was inevitably drawn on Mbappé’s latest early withdrawal.

Though the France international is in line to move on in just a couple of months’ time, he remains absolutely crucial for PSG, and will need to be in the right frame of mind if the capital outfit are to have any chance of going all the way in Europe this season.

Boss Enrique, though, was absolutely defiant in his response, adamant that he is simply doing ‘what is best for PSG’:

“People don’t agree with my decision? I don’t care. It’s the same music every week, the same music… it’s boring. I am the manager. I make decisions every week. I do my best for PSG. I will do this until my final day in Paris.”
