The brother of Barcelona star Pedri has on Monday taken to social media, to launch a stern defence of his sibling.
This comes after Pedri was targetted in harsh fashion by a member of the Barcelona fanbase.
The 21-year-old, for his part, featured off the bench last night, as Barca were put to the sword by three goals to two at the hands of arch rivals Real Madrid.
Pedri struggled to make his presence felt across his time on the pitch, as the Spanish international continues to work his way back towards full fitness following a recent spell on the sidelines.
As alluded to above, though, some, or at least one of a Blaugrana persuasion are evidently losing patience with their side’s midfield starlet.
In a post on ‘X’ in the aftermath of last night’s Clásico, one supporter took firm aim at Pedri, for ‘spending more time injured than playing’:
“We need to talk seriously about Pedri: Wasted talent, 0 testosterone and bad milk. All of Barcelona knows what he and his brother do at night. Physically he can’t stand to play 30 minutes. He spends more time injured than playing.”
With the influence of Pedri’s brother having also been highlighted in the post, Fernando González in turn took it upon himself to reply to the fan in question.
And, safe to say, his response was a definitive one.
Taking firm aim at what he labels ‘lies’, Fernando put to bed any questions over his sibling’s commitment to the Barcelona cause:
“Tell me what we do? You can like my brother’s sporting career more or less, but to question his work and commitment is to be ignorant and to not know us at all. You are a b**tard and a liar.”
