Lewandowski, Gavi, Cubarsí & more: Barcelona stars bid Xavi farewell

A whole host of first-team stars from La Liga giants Barcelona have taken to social media, to send messages of gratitude to departing manager Xavi.

The name of tactician Xavi has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last 24 hours.

This comes after his long-rumoured dismissal from the Barcelona bench was finally made official.

Just weeks on from confirming his continuation for next season, Joan Laporta, Deco and co. concluded that, in fact, Xavi is not the right man to lead the Blaugrana into a new era.

Sunday’s La Liga meeting with Sevilla, in turn, will mark the 44-year-old’s last on the Barca bench.

Across the hours since, Barcelona’s stars, as a result, have flooded to their respective social media platforms, to make public their appreciation for their soon-to-be former head coach.

The likes of Pedri, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres have all bid Xavi a fond farewell, with a roundup of just some of the highlights from across X and Instagram showcased below:
