Levante star to miss 4 to 6 weeks through injury

La Liga outfit Levante have on Friday been dealt a blow on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that midifeld star Pablo Martínez is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Martínez was for his part introduced off the bench on Thursday, as Levante locked horns with Orihuela in a Copa del Rey clash.

Introduced off the bench en route to an eventual 4-3 triumph for his side, however, the 27-year-old was soon forced back off.

As much came as a result of a left ankle injury.

Martínez was in turn put through a round of medical tests and scans on Friday morning, confirming that the midfielder has picked up a lateral ligament problem.

Drawn on the impending absence awaiting his engine room star during a press conference today, Levante boss Julián Calero (as cited by Mundo Deportivo) then went on to reveal that Martínez will miss ”between a month and a month and a half”.
