La Liga champions Barcelona are currently considered as being at the front of the queue in the race for Levante star Karl Etta Eyong.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the situation.
Youngster Etta Eyong has for his part proven himself one of the stories of the Spanish top-flight season to date.
This comes with the 21-year-old in the midst of a remarkable run of form.
Across eight appearances between Villarreal and Levante, Etta Eyong has directly contributed to eight goals.
Such form has not gone at all unnoticed across the continent, with a number of top clubs understood to be hot on the Cameroonian’s trail.
As alluded to above, though, it is Barcelona who appear to boast the edge when it comes to the race for Etta Eyong’s signature.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Barça tested his signing in the last days of the transfer window, but they had no room for manoeuvre, although at that time it was already clear to the Blaugrana club that the Cameroonian wanted to come. He prioritizes Barça.’
