Leganés star reveals classy letter from Real Madrid

Leganés star Borna Barisić has on Friday unveiled a personal letter from the brass at La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

This comes to afford the player encouragement in his long and arduous road ahead in his recovery from a serious injury.

Defender Barisić for his part made the move to Spain during the January transfer window, linking up with relegation-battling Leganés on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Safe to say, however, that the Croatian international’s start to life in Madrid could not have gotten off to a much worse start.

Afforded his debut from the off in a La Liga defeat at the hands of Valencia, Barisić was hauled off early on, owing to a fitness issue.

And, after an ensuing round of medical tests, it was revealed that the 32-year-old had suffered a ruptured ACL in his right knee.

As alluded to above, though, ahead of what will no doubt be a difficult recovery period, Barisić has this week been afforded some timely encouragement on the part of none other than the Spanish champions.

Taking to his official Instagram account on Friday, the left-back unveiled a personal letter from Real Madrid and president Florentino Pérez:
