Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has taken to the pitch in a new-look role in the club’s latest outing.
This comes with Hansi Flick having made the call to field the youngster in a central position, in attacking midfield.
Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Real Betis.
With Dani Olmo sidelined and Fermín López only considered well enough for the bench, Roony Bardghji was afforded a rare start at La Cartuja.
The expectation was that the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital would in turn be tested in the no.10 spot, having impressed in a similar berth with the Swedish national team last month.
Upon Barcelona taking to the pitch in Seville, however, it became clear that Bardghji was in fact on the right wing.
Instead, it was Lamine Yamal who slotted into the attacking midfield position, an interesting development in the fledgling career of football’s standout young player.
