Lamine Yamal sets new career benchmark in Barcelona vs Mallorca

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has on Saturday secured for himself a new individual career benchmark.

This comes owing to his exploits in the Blaugrana’s meeting with RCD Mallorca.

Hansi Flick’s troops are of course currently locked in action on the La Liga front, after welcoming Mallorca to the Spotify Camp Nou.

As things stand late in proceedings in Catalunya’s capital, Barca find themselves comfortably in front, leading by two goals to nil.

Robert Lewandowski was responsible for opening the scoring, courtesy of a close-range finish during the first-half.

This was then followed by the aforementioned Lamine doubling the hosts’ lead, courtesy of a spectacular strike from distance.

And in the process, the 18-year-old continued to build on his legacy in the colours of Barcelona.

Lamine has now managed double digits for goals in a La Liga season for the first time in his fledgling career, having notched his 10th of the term against Mallorca.
