Barcelona star Lamine Yamal took advantage of the opportunity to hit back at the home crowd in attendance at the club’s meeting with Villarreal on Sunday.
This came after the 18-year-old was somewhat bizarrely targeted by Villarreal’s supporters.
Lamine was the victim of a horror challenge on the part of Renato Veiga during the first-half at La Cerámica, culminating in the former Chelsea man being shown a straight red card.
Despite the young winger having done no wrong en route as much, the home fans from this point on whistled and jeered Lamine each and every time he was in possession of the ball.
As alluded to above, though, it was the Spanish international who had the last laugh…
Just beyond the hour mark, a scrappy stretch of play in the hosts’ penalty area resulted in the ball falling to the feet of Lamine.
And the attacker made no mistake in slotting a fine left-footed finish into the bottom corner.
After wheeling away in celebration, Lamine then took the opportunity to fire back at the Villarreal faithful, putting his fingers to his mouth, as if to say ‘whistle me now!’
