Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has provided an insight into a humourous message passed his way by manager Hansi Flick, regarding his new squad number.
Wide-man Lamine has of course taken his place front and centre in the media headlines across Spain over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the Spanish international was afforded a new jersey number, to reflect his status as one of the standout players in world football.
Following in the footsteps of the likes of Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi, Lamine has secured Barcelona’s iconic no.10 for the years to come.
On the back of as much being made official, the youngster sat down for an interview with Barca’s official media channels, which was subsequently made public.
During as much, the 18-year-old was asked whether he had received contact from manager Hansi Flick regarding his change of number.
And Lamine went on to confirm that the German did pass a humourous message his way, as follows:
“He told me that tomorrow there’s a double training session so make sure you go to bed early!
“He congratulated me and encouraged me to keep going the same way.”
