A highly anticipated update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has come to the fore on Friday.
And the news will no doubt be met with a sigh of relief on the part of all rooting for Spain in this weekend’s fast-approaching World Cup final.
This comes amid confirmation that the prodigious young winger has rejoined the rest of Luis de la Fuente’s squad in group training.
Attacker Lamine set alarm bells sounding this week, upon sitting out training in the aftermath of Spain’s World Cup semi-final victory over France.
Just days out from the tournament showpiece, the 19-year-old’s status suddenly appeared to have been thrown into doubt. Not only that, but partner-in-crime down the right flank, Pedro Porro, was also forced to watch on from the sidelines in training.
As confirmed by Spanish journalist Alfredo Martínez, though, earlier today, both players were back in the thick of things under the watch of La Roja’s coaching staff.
Lamine and Porro are in turn expected to feature from the off once again when Spain lock horns with reigning world champions Argentina on Sunday evening.
