Lamine Yamal injury update after Barcelona’s win over Getafe

An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has come to the fore online on Wednesday evening.

This comes after the youngster was spotted limping on the back of the full-time whistle in the club’s latest fixture.

Barcelona, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Getafe to Catalunya’s capital with sights set on a 7th successive La Liga victory.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what the Blaugrana managed.

A solitary goal proved enough to put Getafe to the sword, netted by Robert Lewandowski from close range inside the opening 20 minutes.

On an otherwise positive night’s work for Barca, however, one source of concern, too, was forthcoming.

This came on the back of the full-time whistle, upon youngster Lamine Yamal being spotted limping, and clutching at his left leg.

As much quickly set alarm bells sounding amongst the Catalans’ supporters, fearful of their side’s attacking gem being condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Such fans, however, need not fret.

That’s according to Barcelona insider Adria Albets, who, post-Getafe, has assured that:

‘Lamine has limped off but only has a bruised ankle, according to reports from the Barça dressing room. Nothing serious. He’s fine.’
