Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has this week moved to shut down recent media ‘lies’ surrounding his name.
Speaking during a post-interview on the back of Barcelona’s meeting with Club Brugge on Wednesday night, the 18-year-old insisted:
“A lot has been said about my pubalgia and that I was sad about some things… all lies!”
Lamine’s comments come fresh off a starring individual performance on the part of the winger against Brugge.
Afforded a starting place in his customary berth on the right flank, the youngster proved himself a constant thorn in the hosts’ backline in Belgium, looking back to his best after a recent run of sub-par showings.
The highlight of Lamine’s evening came during the 2nd-half, when the Spanish international embarked on a dazzling dribble into the Brugge penalty area, before picking out the far corner to level things at 2-2.
Such excellence, though, only proved enough to secure for Barcelona a share of the spoils at Jan Breydel Stadium.
