La Liga president Javier Tebas has this evening provided his take on the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid.
The name of frontman Mbappé, of course, continues to dominate the headlines in Spain’s capital ahead of the summer.
This comes with the Frenchman’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain due to expire, and the Real Madrid hierarchy hopeful of at long last securing his signature.
As things stand, it is largely unclear where the situation actually stands, with Mbappé himself continuing to keep his cards close to his chest when it comes to his plans for next season.
Such quiet has led to pessimism beginning to mount amongst the Blancos faithful, understandably eager to see one of world football’s standout attackers donning the club’s colours.
If the latest comments on the part of the aforementioned Javier Tebas are anything to go by, however, then Real’s supporters should certainly not give up hope just yet.
This comes with the La Liga chief adamant that there remains a ‘high possibility’ that Mbappé will ultimately land at the Santiago Bernabéu later this year.
As cited by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Tebas on Monday explained:
“There is a high probability that Mbappé will arrive at Real Madrid. More than 50%. It’s a personal opinion… it depends on Real Madrid, they will decide”.
