Kylian Mbappé’s camp deny agreement with Real Madrid

An update on the future of Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé has been provided today by the player’s camp, who have dismissed suggestions that he has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has always been a priority target for Madrid and the two parties were involved in a controversial transfer saga in the summer of 2022. Los Blancos offered the striker a lucrative deal and launched a huge proposal only for Mbappe to reject them and renew his contract at PSG.

Reports immediately after this suggested that the Spanish giants would never pursue the player again as they felt humiliated and disrespected. However, in recent weeks the La Liga leaders have revived their interest and could now bring in the France international for free, when his contract expires in the summer.

Last year, Mbappe informed the Paris club that he will not extend his contract by one year to 2025 and therefore his deal will expire at the end of the 2023/24 season.

The electric forward netted a hat-trick in yesterday’s cup match against Revel where Les Parisiens ran riot and won 9-0.

As reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old’s camp have released a statement, which has denied reports linking him with a move to the Spanish capital and has reiterated that there have been no discussions about his future.

The statement said: “There’s no agreement on Kylian future. There have been no discussions about his future.

“No type of influence could dictate the timing of Kylian’s discussions, reflections or decisions.”
