Kylian Mbappé set to manage in two seasons what Real Madrid teammate took seven to do

Another remarkable statistic surrounding the production of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé since his arrival at the club has come to the fore early this week.

This comes amid confirmation that the Frenchman is close to surpassing the goals record of teammate Rodrygo in Spain’s capital.

Frontman Mbappé is for his part of course in the midst of a spectacular run of form in front of goal at present.

All told, between club and international level, the 26-year-old has found the net 10 games in succession.

Mbappé, in the process, has taken his tally with Real Madrid to 58 goals in a little over one season of play.

In contrast, attacking partner Rodrygo, now in his 7th season with Los Blancos, currently sits on 68 goals all in.

At their current respective paces, as per Marca, the former is in turn likely to overtake Rodrygo – yet to score a single goal this season – in a matter of mere weeks.
