Kylian Mbappé set a new all-time record in Real Madrid 2-1 Rayo

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé on Sunday secured for himself a special piece of history.

This comes owing to his exploits in Real Madrid’s latest outing.

Los Blancos marked their return to action earlier today, welcoming Rayo Vallecano to the Santiago Bernabéu, for a La Liga clash.

Frontman Mbappé for his part featured from the off in the matchup, and played a decisive role, opening the scoring en route to a 2-1 triumph for Carlo Ancelotti’s troops.

And as alluded to above, as much proved significant in much more than simply helping to guide Real to all three points.

In addition, his latest strike saw Mbappé etch his name yet further into the history books of European football.

As per statisticians Stats Foot:

‘Kylian Mbappé becomes the first French player in history to score 29 goals in his first season with a club from the 4 major leagues in official competition.’
